Hey, learned some new stuff in computers today. Today's topic, RSS Feeds! Check it out!
1. What does RSS stand for?
- Real Simple Syndication.
2. How does it Work?
- you subscribe to a website and set up a feed reader account for your computer or other device and the site "sends" you information whenever the part you subscribed for has a new post.
3. What are 2 benefits to using one?
- they are more efficient when finding new information about topics you like. and it cuts out the work you have to do when finding information.
4. Compare and contrast “RSS Feeds”, “Feed Reader”, or “Aggregator”?
-RSS feeds are the information sent to you by the sight you subscribed to. A feed reader is a sight or mobile device that you use to receive the information from those news sights. An Aggregator is an Internet "company" that collects information about competing products and services and brings it to you through a single website. it helps you compare all data at one time.
5. What Google product is an RSS Feed?
- Google reader.
6. What do you need in order to sign up for an RSS feed?
-you need a subscription to the sight you wish to get the info from and a reader device to receive the information.
7. What does it cost?
-normally there is little to no cost.
